In this book, two moms share their experience of loss, grieving and connection, offering ground to walk on for those navigating the complex waters of Grief within the opioid epidemic.

In Part One, Gianna and Ami Ji relate with the inability to stand solidly on the ground where our children no longer stand, cycling through grief waves in a world that seems unaffected by loss, and how the stigma attached to death caused by an overdose compounds and complicates grieving. The authors' personal stories of the loss of their children to overdose becomes a rallying cry: our children's lives and deaths are worthy of attention, love and grief.

In Part Two, the authors honor their children's lives and afterlife, sharing written dialouges of their continued conversations beyond the grave.  The resources at the end of the book offer both support from established groups and guided meditations toward opening communication with our deceased loved ones and Spirit-Guidance.

If you find yourself in the most undesired yet sacred boat of parents whose child(ren) died, especially from an overdose, or if you are supporting someone trying to find their footing on this unique and tender path, this book offers solace and help.
